Love you more than ice cream: Retrosketches!

A very similar sketch was on the MUSE challenge a few weeks ago... and I loved it..

Celebrate: CAS(E) this Sketch!

I always try my best to play CAS(E) this sketch!

When I was 8 years old I got what I wanted for my birthday that year.
A Spiro-graph!
Anyone have memoreis of these?  I was surprised when I played with it
that magically my designs did not exactly turn out like the images in the book.
I loved it anyway.
Today I was in an art supply shop looking for some foam mount tape when
I noticed they carried some rubber stamps.
I looked at all of them and I saw this stamp!
Judikins Spiral Daisy
Brought me back to when I was eight
years old again.
I smiled all the way to the register....

You and Me NOTHING Better: Dynamic Duos!

You and Me NOTHING Better: Dynamic Duos!

I tried to get a few hours of crafting in, and a few cards done.
I also checked ion on a few peeps and their crafting too.

I was reminded by Tracey Wilson of Scrappin' Trackside when I checked in on one of her cards
of the Dynamic Duos challenge.
She had a lovely card she made thinking of her honey.
I make a lot of cards for Scott too.  So I pawed through my stash of recent Me and My Big Ideas Chips and Pocket Pages and made one for him.

A "NO STAMP" card is just fine.
Modern and clean and Fresh.

Today is your Day: Sketchbook Saturday!

Today is your Day: Sketchbook Saturday!

Okay, if you know me, my style is
ALL over the place.
Smitten with CAS, dabbling in layers, and just all around bold,
 I currently
am following Iwona (Chupa's) wonderfulness.
Like a stalker really, but a nice one..if there is such a thing.
 LOL!
Her design sensibility is dramatic and lush,
bold, beautiful and eclectic.
[sigh]
Her designs make me want to be a better card artist.
Here is my latest card to add to her

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas! : Festive Friday!

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas! : Festive Friday!

I was very busy last night and today hosting my Mom's
70th birthday party in Suquamish.
It went so wonderfully!
[though lots of work!]

Well, I have a quick card this evening before I drop!

I adore the Festive Friday Blog, no secret here.
I have to play!
A TWO week inspiration challenge, what is NOT to love?
JOIN IN!
You will be amazed that you will make truly one of a kind
cards for your family and friends.
Before you know it you will be perusing through your Christmas Card stack, hand selecting each
"just perfect"
card to the special person that your are gifting it to,
and smiling the entire time!

I have this neat Balzer Designs star stencil I have been wanting
to do a Christmas "frosted" card with.
I wanted the feel of FROST, just like when Conrad and I "frost" the windows with snowflakes.
I embossed the edges a little haphazardly to achieve this effect.
Using white Colorbox Ink I sponged the inside of the stencil with more pressure,
easing up to the edges.

I hope this reminds you of decorated windows for the Holidays!
Enjoy!
Supplies:
Ali Edwards Sentiment
Balzer Designs Bits Mask Script Star ($4.00)
Versamagic Dazzle Frost Embossing Ink
Colorbox White Ink
Recollections Snow Embossing powder

Hello, Lovely: MUSE Card Club Challenge!

Hello, Lovely: MUSE Card Club Challenge!

Well, I absolutely love the MUSE card
this week!
I already had some paper where I did some sponging effect, and though the challenge inspiration piece is blue, I thought that
the lovely wine colors I have would look
pretty sweet with white embossing.
So here is my take.
Hope you can
enjoy a challenge or two this week!

A Challenge of course!

I have placed a sizzix diecut over the DP and outlines in white, leaving off from the
moon and broom handle and end.
Add a super bright orange sentiment, and done.
Simple, easy, and a great way to showcase this weird witch paper!

Halloween Greetings: Freshly Made Sketches 104

First things FIRST!
I want to WELCOME my latest wonderful follower friends!!

Hannelie   ~ Desert Diva
Tracey W ~  Scrappin' Trackside

When you visit me, it truly inspires me to go on.  I love to create, and I love to make cards every single day.
A little about me...
I do have a full time job, I manage a systems database of ocean freight rates, and the steamship claims for an International Export Produce Shipping Company (22 yrs).  I also care for my mother and adopted nephew that my husband Scott and I are raising as our boy!  Conrad takes Karate about 4 times a week.
Overall a very busy crazy stress filled and wonderful life!  So I must let out some creativity every day just to unwind from it all.  I love digital mini-scrapbooking, scary movies, anything gardening, home decor.
I love hearing that I have inspired anyone to keep making things or being creative.
It is so good for the soul!

I hope you find time for yourself to do anything that makes you feel restful, peaceful, excited, happy or renewed!  Remember to treat yourself, you are important so you can be important to others!
