Lantern Chinese New Year Card

Chinese NY is approaching fast!
I always LOVE the Red Cards with elaborate details!  So Festive.

I made this card to send to our friends that hosted a New Years get together.
It is a combo thank you for the party and Happy Chinese New Year.  I hope they like it!

Making cards is so fun and it warms my heart to share them.  Maybe others will get some ideas.

On this card I stamped the 2 laterns side by side on light red cardstock, I then stamped a large flowered stamp over them both.  Letting the design of where the flowers land, "just happen."

I then colored the flowers in red copic, colored over that in white embossing pen and clear embossed.
I made a second card and it was simpler to use a red embossing pen, don't have to go over it in a clear embossing pen then, turned out great too, and one less step!
