December Daily: 24, 25

And the excitement of it all:

 

 

The cookies were actually good. 

 

 

I have not had my phone very long. So I have not really played with taking videos. I couldn't locate the flip fast enough, so I took a clip of mom reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. Of course it was sideways when I viewed it... Whooops.

I did get a few pictures so I was thrilled to add this one to my album.

December Dailys: 21, 22

We went to the Crystal Creek Cafe today for a late lunch - early dinner. 

It was quiet and nice. 

The prime rib dip and fries hit the spot. 

I enjoyed a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie ala mode.

 

 

 

 

Conrad celebrated his "official" one year birthday from the date we adopted him on Friday. 

He loved it. 

All the attention, the cake, blowing out the candle, and just having a special time with all of us around.

 

 

 

Today I wanted out of the box. The journaling box that is.

so I printed the same size as the photos and journaled within.

December Daily: Day 20

Day 20 of the December Dailys. 

If you are looking here, you too are intrigued by the every day magic that leads to Christmas.  I love to look at other December Daily posts just for a peek at every day magical moments and just sigh a big sigh knowing that others are enjoying this season as well. 
So I am thankful.


This picture is of the top bunk as we clean the bottom bedding.  Here he keeps his little starry sleepingbag, extra hoodies, and pillows here. He has carefully taken his sleeping pals and put them ontop to watch the goings on.  He is 10 going on 30 sometimes, though when I saw this, I knew that the day will come when his little boy things will be put away.  For now, I enjoy seeing them and how much he loves his pals. "Scottie doggy" and "Lil Smoky"

I have a typo or two, and you know..I let them slide.
I like that sometimes.

Tonight after Karate, the long way home Bellevue Way to Kirkland, the stop at the house with the large wreath on the roof!..  Well you can't see it in this photo..

December Daily 2012

 

December Daily - 25 Days of December.

After Trick or Treating, I completed my 25 days of December Templates!

 

My goal this year is to focus is the storytelling of the events.

Highlighting on the journaling and photos of the 25 days of Christmas.  I love my last year mini album, however I spent way too much time coordinating the pages with the photos and I realized that I lost track of what happended and when. 

This year, I wanted to design a preset layout and theme and really get the stories in.

 

This year, a vintage feel.

Layout Design Inspiration: Kimber of Bean Talk (all about Jillybean Soup) Did a tutuoral on the December Daily Album for 2010. I fell in love with her design and altered it for my 5x7 layout.

The Jillybean papers she used on this tutorial layout are just fabulous!

 TheBean Talk blog has added a few new designers like Danni Reid, I am a big fan of Danni Reid's card! So visit the blog! You will not be disappointed.

 Here is my completed Page 1

 

 

 

I started with Ali Edwards 25 Days of Christmas

 

 I only used one of the journal cards as I only wanted  a tab for this project (however I want ALL of these for another project)

 

In photshop I resized, changes the fill color to a cranberry red

and erased all but the tab and december

I positioned it and printed a few to ensure the placement before printing 24 more

 

 

Trimmed the paper down to 7x5

 

 

Added the Kaiser Craft Just Believe Alpha Stickers

 

 

 

Alternated 4 main designs of the This and That papers with 2 color strips

 

Brown crayon outline softens and grounds the layouts

 

 

 

Final looks.

Ready for photos and journaling!

 

 

December Daily 2011

Friends Camp Mini Scrapbook

I made this Mini Scrap book by printing 3.5 x 2.5 photos 

with hard chipboard and rings and just adding washi tape, stickers, 

and anything relating to anything outdoors.

I love the little fishy sticker on this page!

Making his Mini Album

I showed Conrad this cute Pad and die cut set of Woodland Animals that I thought was too cute.  I asked him if he wanted me to use it on an album for his Scout Camp Trip to Camp Brinkley.

He said "Only if I can do the album."

So I took this Kaiser Craft Pad

 And these die cuts,

And with the photos, I laid them all out on the table for his to make pages
