For this design I inked the top portion of the deer image in Altenew Rose Quartz (light pink) ink, then the bottom half in Altenew Puffy Heart  (pink) ink.

11.29.2024 Woodblock Wednesday - Majestic Deer

 

Joining in the Woodblock Wednesday Stamp Card Party!

I have been wanting to make a Rubber stamp card for so long!  I have most of them packed in boxes upstairs.  It is a long story of how I have 1/2 my craft room downstairs and 1/2 upstairs.. I am making do the best I can with the situation. I finally was able to open a few boxes on the holiday when I was able to steal a few minutes away.

I discovered a fun "smear" technique by accident.  It may be already out there somewhere, I am sure it is.  I heavily inked my deer stamp and before lifting straight up, I dragged it down just a smidge for a blurred effect.  I liked it so much I repeated it on the second deer and incorporated it into my card design.  My creations aren't about perfection, just the love of cardmaking and fun creating.  Especially fun to try something new or different and enjoy the process as well as the result.
