December Daily: 24, 25

And the excitement of it all:

The cookies were actually good.

I have not had my phone very long. So I have not really played with taking videos. I couldn't locate the flip fast enough, so I took a clip of mom reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. Of course it was sideways when I viewed it... Whooops.

I did get a few pictures so I was thrilled to add this one to my album.

It IS Christmas!!!

Santa came, he only ate some of the cookie!

Shut the front door!  I got Darby O'Gill and the Little People?!!
I have been wanting this for years!

Excitement of the Xbox

December Dailys: 21, 22

We went to the Crystal Creek Cafe today for a late lunch - early dinner.
It was quiet and nice.
The prime rib dip and fries hit the spot.
I enjoyed a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie ala mode.

Conrad celebrated his "official" one year birthday from the date we adopted him on Friday.
He loved it.
All the attention, the cake, blowing out the candle, and just having a special time with all of us around.

Today I wanted out of the box. The journaling box that is.
so I printed the same size as the photos and journaled within.

The pie page is adhered to a few inches of transparency large dot paper.

1 Year Adopted Birthday

I never knew this, but when you adopt a child, and not only for newborns, they are given a brand new Birth Certificate with your name as the parent.  Scott and I are both now on a  legal Birth Certificate of Conrad's that he was born unto us on December 21st 2011.

Well, I do not know any kid who does NOT want to celebrate 2 birthdays, especially at Christmas time. We promised he would get a 2nd birthday and we will celebrate with him.   Lucky Kid.

December 21, 2012

Yes, he really need a hair cut!

We turned out the lights, so the rest will look dark, but I wanted to capture him blowing out his "1" candle.

I love this so goofy picture!

He had a choice of a mini cake or a caramel apple.  Safeway had some really enormous caramel apples decorated with Christmas snowmen, etc.

When we saw this little round Rudolph, I had a feeling he would choose it!

Years ago mom had a fiber optic tree.  She asked for one this year.  I told her,
"Mom, they do NOT even make those anymore."  I knew that this would be a Christmas where mom would be upset.

Was I surprised when I wen to the thrift store and saw this one.
For only $12.00 !!!!
Wow, back when they were brand new they were twice the price or more.
So it was a Christmas win, she was so happy.  She came out of bed and gazed at it lovingly.
 ......No really, lovingly.
It changes colors from blue, to lavendar to yellows and oranges all a soft light hue.  It really is cool.

 And the birthday gift:
Geo Mags, making cars from pars and magnets - you build it yourself
I won this at a receipt drawing at Bellevue Art and Frame.

Country Merry Christmas Tree Card:

This stamp was the one I originally chose to post for the star challenge.  I wanted to color it with my new copic sketch markers. The other day I just couldn't pull the color scheme together so I ended up using a jar with stars in it.  I love the Dear Lizzy line, so I was very happy with it.
It was so much fun using the colorless blender pen all over the stamped image.

I am also posting this to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge for using their featured Exclusive line stamps.   I have used the super fun Mini Folded Banners Holiday die and Stamp set

This simple un decorated tree in a watering can reminded me of my sister.
My sister is the constant gardener.  This is something I might see on her front porch, or I would see in a quaint little county nursery and want to give her as a gift.

The close up, I love the folded banners!
