Whimsy Stamps October 31 Nights of Halloween - Special Guest!

Hello Whimsy fans - Kimberly Wiener here!   

Once again I am so excited in sharing the Spooky October 31 Nights of Halloween Celebration with Whimsy Stamps!

The NEW Candle Creeps Clear stamp set is so unique that I had to create a card right away and feature it 

set against a spooky starry night sky.

The NEW Slimline Postage Die was amazing as a window panel adding so much interest.

To make this "Spooky Candelabra" card:

 Prepare white card base of 4 x 5.75,  an inner panel of yellow card stock 3.6 x 5.25, and a black card stock layer of 3.75 x 5.35. 

Cut a 2.5 x 3.75 piece of white card stock and blend with blue distress ink or glitter ink for the sky layer.

Color onto a small slip of white card stock blended colors of coral and punch with a circle punch.  Stamp and cut images

Die cut Slimline Postage Die in black card stock. Run die through again to make the single window.

Adhere sky panel to die and layer and adhere the yellow layer and black card stock to the card base. Color and adhere images leaving space for the sentiment.  Add stars using a white gel pen and the Star Galaxy Stencil for the final touch!

I had such an amazingly FUN time playing with these stamps. NOT kidding, these lil' Candy Corn Dress Up Stamps... OMG... I fell for these!.....HARD! 

The NEW Slimline Postage Die was amazing as a backdrop for the six sweeties all ready for supreme spookiness!

To make this tall slim "Trick or Treat" card:

 Prepare white card base of 4.25 x 8.5 and an inner panel of 3.75 x 7.5. Sponge the inner card panel with water reactive inks blending two colors darkest to light. Stamp and cut Candy Corn Dress Up images and sentiment.  Die cut Slimline Postage Die in black card stock.  Adhere card panel and die cut to card. Color and adhere images and sentiment.  Add stars using a white gel pen and the Star Galaxy Stencil for the final touch!

BOLD Digital Bookmarks!

Hello..hello..Hello!  

I really was inspired to create and color --and make something special for my mother.  

My mother really supports my creativity and loves my cards.  I have made her so many and she is at the point where (I have decided) she has enough "clutter"  --- Eeeegads did I call my cards clutter!..  Well sort of...Reality is they end up in a pile or box...  amidst all her other treasures. (Picture at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark --the warehouse --where they take the artifact all boxed up to be lost forever..)

She reads almost every day.  I came up with the best idea.  For me to create something she will see and use, as well as appreciate all the time. 

Bookmarks!

I had some leftover large beads and "doo-dads" from a necklace I had made her years ago.  I added them to some lovely turquoise yarn to really specialize one of her book marks.

Before I added anything to the bookmarks I adhered a thick really lovely midnight dark navy cardstock to back them all.  

The lovely coloring is from Spectum Noir Tri-Blend Alcohol Markers.  I am totally smitten with the ease of using them and the blending.

Hey there! 

 I am a Guest DT member for STAMPlorations Digital images now as well as Spectrum Noir!

My goal is to hopefully inspire and make cards I will (eventually) and lovingly send out.

And according to my doctors, 

I need less stress. 

Crafting relives the stress.

I am not 100% digital, though I am moving more and more that way.  I admit it is mostly because  I am a messy crafter.  I will be 99% done with a card...and...the inevitable, a thumb print in ink right there..ruining it.  I really get annoyed at that.  And believe me, I am no perfectionist.

Digital is less stress on placement, color richness, and no inky fingers..
