Taking Grandma Cricket to visit Aiden in Spokane, WA
Maggie is their puppy. Very cute dog. Some facny breed I have no idea, though very well mannered!
Scott and I drove to Spokane and mom will be staying to visit until next weekend. We almost left a coat of Aiden's at a restaurant, and when we were going to leave the next morning they came to Scott & I and asked if we left it the day before. I turned beet red! Well, I didn't notice him shrug it off and fall on the floor...I noticed the kid was dressed and loved eating pancakes! (Yes, I believe we are related!) Other than that, no harm done!
Aaron & Christine live in a picture postcard neighborhood. Large older homes with lovely large treelined streets with fall leaves and pumpkins adorning every porch. Verandas and wrap around porches, people walking their dogs & kids playing in the piles of leaves.. It was really breathtaking! This part of Spokane is very beautiful!
See ya later mom! Will pick you up next week at the Seatac Airport - enjoy the flight!

Cougar Mountain Zoo - Largest Collection Bronze
We went to the Cougar Mountain Zoological Park in Issaquah. After driving by and seeing the signs the last few years and not stopping, it was time we visited!
Fall just beginning and the day cool but not cold proved to be the perfect day. The park boasts that it has the largest collection of Bronze Animal Statuary. I believe it! This is not half of the animals all over the small zoo park. We had a great time slowly taking it all in.
There are Reindeer (Santa's of course), a cougar, 2 Bengal rare colored tigers, a Wallaby, several Lemurs, ringtails and brown ones, and Macaws. Also Alpacas, a Mule deer, Cranes and Emus too.
It was envigorating to walk and see the animals. We loved it!

Garage Sale, Yard Sale, Estate Sale!!!!
Mom, Scott and I just love them.
Scott and and I were actually supposed to be just getting exercise and were walking from an across town park around town when we came across an estate sale. We saw it as we were driving to the park, it did feel like " break time."
The house belonged to a long time resident that past that was born in the smaller house next to the one with the sale 98 years before. The house interior was decorated from the 5o's or before. The cupboards and all appliances from the 30's. It was amazing to see. Fold down Finish type kitchen table and chair sets and it was all antiques in there. Mostly all was sold or not our style overpriced or not for sale.
Except the lamps. The shades on them were large round gaudy antique white stained monsters that hid the beauty (almost) but I seen them and had to have them. No price on them made me cringe, I smiled when I finally did see $20 on them, and hotdog, it was for the pair!
They are smaller in size and meant for side tables in a bedroom, that is where they were, in the bedroom. For now I have them in the dining area. They remind me of the kind my grandmother had, though hers were much larger and meant for the living room.
Gotta love a deal!
