Altenew Build-A-Flower for Release: Larkspur

Welcome to Build A Flower
Larkspur!

Here is a brief description provided by Altenew:
Larkspurs belong to the buttercup family and are native throughout the Northern Hemisphere. The flowers bloom in a variety of colors from white to blue-violet.
Larkspur flowers are irregularly shaped and bloom loosely along a vertical stem.

ALTENEW Card Blog

I used some pretty intense colors for a tropical feel and watercolored a loose relaxed
background for a beachy theme.

I inked the outline layer and added clear embossing to add a little texture and shine. Black enamel accents dotted for even more dimension.

Just a little gold adds shine
and elegance!

WOW Kimberly, these are so beautiful. While admiring your work on the blue larkspur, I realized that one could probably use this also as a poinsettia. I hadn't noticed this throughout the hop until seeing your second card but with shading in the right places it would look beautiful too, IMHO.
    Beautifully done.

Your blue and green card for me is the hit of the hop. Absolutely lovely. The build-a-flower series is fabulous. My favorite is still the build-a-flower rose but they are all wonderful.

Wow, these are gorgeous. The DT has gone above and beyond with this release. I love the embossing powder on the orange flower. I wouldn't have thought that pink would work, but it's amazing, especially against the watercolor-y background. And then the blue flowers with the golden stamen are fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing all these lovely cards with us!
