NEW Card Challenge Idea

I have been kicking an idea around myself on a card challenge that I could post on my blog weekly.
It would be a photo inspiration, and not a sketch challenge.
There are so many challenges out there, though I still think not enough are CAS (Clean and Simple).

I love challenging myself.  I love making cards.  I also love a weekly forum.  I love knowing what to expect and when.  I would love a weekly forum that I can have freedom with, express myself in many ways and hopefully inspire!  I love seeing all of the other inspiration and the growth of some of you wonderful crafters.  It is truly amazing to see before my very eyes the level of creativity and talent that is evolving.

If you have any feedback on this subject, let me know, I would LOVE to hear your take and suggestions or anything as it relates to card challenges, your likes, dislikes, etc.

You are what makes this community so great!
I love being a part of it -Thanks so much!

-All the best Kimberly

Stacked Dishes: Fusion Challenge!

Stacked Dishes: Fusion Challenge!

I felt I had to redeem myself form my very first fusion post where I actually posted this fruglybuggly
card with the same stamp in hot pink.
The pink was so blinding, I actually cringed when I posted it.
I worked so hard
fussy cutting the thing, I had to.
knew I had to CASE it later.

So here is a less distracting card.... (my other one below--eek, cover one eye please I beg you!)

Supplies:
Stamp: Rubbermoon 2005 designed by Gretchen Ehrsam
Paper: My Minds Eye Wind in your Wings

Thank You: Fusion Challenge!

I love being able to put large pieces of lovely, lovely paper,
on my cards!
I am THE paper hoarder ..I mean loving keeper and admirer!

Well, if some of you have been following me for awhile, you may wonder how many stamps I have.
I don't know.
I have been collecting since I found the first Rubber stamp shop I ever heard of.
A little shop in Poulsbo, later a Rubber Moon opened.
Since 1985 or 86.
Yeah, believe it or not.
Last year I finally got rid of 2 large boxes of old stamps.
Out with the older, in with the newer!

I adore this card.  Sweet chickadee's!

CASology CUE Card #51: FIREWORKS!

 CASology CUE Card: FIREWORKS!

I really wanted High Impact DRAMA.
I achieved this by masking and using a dauber to
create a sponged effect with
the sky.

design defined:
Masking with bright colors adds drama to a CAS design.

This wonderful Challenge is Sponsored by:
This week, Cindy Coutts is returning as CASology's sponsor and she's adding to the excitement by offering this week's winner not one, but THREE Paper Smooches stamps sets (Shadows, My Peeps and Leafy Greens)!  She also wanted us to be sure and mention her upcoming online card class called Let's Color!  It begins July 22nd (registration opens July 15)!  You can find updates on her blog.

NEW Challenge BLOG: House of CARDS!

NEW Challenge BLOG: House of CARDS!

The challenge idea was the brain child of co-owner Mynnette--she wanted to have a reason to practice different card making styles and so the purpose of this challenge is to encourage YOU to branch out and try different card making styles along with her and the fabulous DT they've got there!  They hope that you will learn a lot and that you will participate each week at HOUSE OF CARDS and practice your card making talents.  :)

Here is how their challenge blog works--they will have a monthly color palette or sketch and then each week would like to see a different card making style using those parameters.

(Okay, I like to make a lot of cards, but even I may not want to do 4 cards for one challenge.
Ha, who am I kidding, this is the perfect challenge for me!!)
