On the eve of a 5 day staycation..

I should be cleaning up a storm right now....

Ahhhh that can wait until tomorrow.  

We really must pace ourselves.

I saw a card and "challenged" myself to CASE it.

Jennifer McGuire has this really cool video on

Partial die cuts... I fell in love with the cards and had to make one.

I say one,  as it really was a trial and error, 

and a broken plastic bigshot "dealy thing" later....

I was only trying to bend a warp out of it.. SNAP!

My husband laughed so hard ..

I shrugged,.. Shoot I need a new one now.

Anyhooooo.. After all that Drama, 

I am pretty happy with the result,..

I have combined two sets for this fun card! 

One of my VERY favorties is the 

Thank You A2 Mat Die.

I really think this is a must have in your stash.

Make SEVERAL Thank You cards in a flash!

You can slip in a family photo

or a pets photo... anything!

I stamped a (retired) image of a flourishes llc. 

set that I love, and then paper pieced it again 

for a little added depth.

I then sponged the die ombre oranges

for some variation...and interest.

The font is just FAB!

I was inspired by Lindsay Amrhein - Note to Self

Though I did not use watercolors, I used inks and

Imagine Crafts Tsukineko Brushstix

They are amazing sponge stix with chisel tips that 

you can sponge inks 

around exactly were you want it! 

I stamped the image in SU! Tanglelo Twist

and then sponged Pumpkin Pie and other

hues of oranges..

I made my mom a card using some

The sentiment is a new one I got for Christmas

Another Make it Monday.

I really wanted to find a condolence 

sentiment....

I found one hiding among the cutting garden set..

The Inspiration is Sympathy Borders and my 

first card was bithday.

Soft colors are hard for me.

This was the second try at this card.

The first set of stamping I did looked like birthday confetti.

I admit this one is less so, but not by much.

I guess bolder colors just come easier..

This was such a struggle.

I like to show my struggles as well as my sucesses..

Makes me enjoy the sucesses that much more.

Growth is a good thing.

The Birds and Blooms Stamp set was a SPECIAL Anniversary Rewards purchase...

I really LOVE it and wish they would bring it back....it really is beautiful.
