05.20.2024 Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero - MAY Challenge (REMINDER)

REMINDER --- There is still time to enter!

Welcome to another "Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero" Challenge!

I was inspired this time around to use

- TWO Floral Images

- TWO Stamp Sets

- TWO Word Sentiment

- TWO Ink Colors

This month's challenge theme is:

"Tea for Two"

This challenge ends 5:00PM (PT) June 2nd

Using Bristol Paper I stamped two magnolia blooms and fussy cut them.

I made a water wash by swiping my Deep Ocean and Indigo ink pads on an acrylic surface and adding water.

I splattered and brushed the color loosely and abstractly in broad strokes.

I white embossed on black cardstock the sentiment and hand cut a circle atop a white hand cut circle.

Images were secured with foam mount tape.

05.16.2024 - The Color Hues Challenge

Hello there fellow card lover!!

Sometimes you have to work with what you have. I mean the Copic markers I had on hand. I combined several colors to get a deep coral and Teal Blue for this challenge. Though now it looks orange and blue-green.... Ugghgg

My mojo is terrible, and I'm pushing hard do create. I'm not happy with the lighter greens, it was a shade of light blue when I colored, then some light green came in there....sometimes the colors mix, how they mix.... My mom loves it

- so that makes it great.

05.16.2024 - Hammy Birthday Cake Party

I received the cutest birthday cards this year. One was so cute and I really wanted to make one similar with cute Mama Elephant images.

I haven't chosen the sentiments that I really want to use yet, and I am thinking of adding sequins on it to make a "faux" shaker.

I was very disappointed with my coloring, the cake colors didn't turn out like I thought, but hey, I'm a night crafter, it happens - so I added a cover panel as an added pop open surprise!
